Who’s Behind Holmes Design?
I’m Tarryn. I am a mess 95% of the time but I love absolutely everything I do and plan on growing and learning as much as I possibly can… because why not?!
When I graduated college, I started working at the Atlanta Humane Society. I helped dogs with behavioral problems work to overcome their fears, allowing them to find a home that suits them. From there, I worked several jobs as a veterinary technician until I started doing my woodworking full-time.
In 2020, my husband and I purchased our first school bus and worked to convert it into a home on wheels. We sold the bus in 2022 and since then, I have purchased an old 1968 Ford F100, a 1973 Ford Econoline van, a 1998 Ford Ranger, and an old teardrop camper.
Lately, I am working hard on converting the 1973 Ford Econoline van into a camper as well as tackling some custom wood working projects. I have built a plant shelf that spans our entire dining room wall, a media console with a hidden television in the back for retro gaming, and made custom doors and cabinets to replace damaged ones in an old Airstream.
If you stick around long enough, you may get to see me learn some new things.
